This piece is still rumbling around in the background while I do some other work. I had a false start this weekend from the sketch I posted a couple of weeks back. It made me decide I needed to take a whole new approach to the image. Here it is:

Having seen this in person, i think the colors look at lot better in your sketchbook… there’s a more vibrant division between the grass and the water.
